"I let my music take me where my heart wants to go." -Cat Stevens
Brittany is a Big-Sky heart on stage.
While she spent much of her childhood pitching hay to cows after a day of school and a rigorous basketball practice, the stage was always her inevitable calling. Brittany began performing at the age of four with her family, who played and sang as an amateur Bluegrass band for local talent shows and weddings. At the age of eleven, she began acting and writing her own music, and at the age of 13, her father made her choose an instrument and stick with it. Following dad's suit, she chose the acoustic guitar.
Today, Brittany lives in a shoebox studio in Manhattan with her husband, Matthew Whitfield. Together, they sustain 6 jobs in order to support their work as storytellers on stage.
